Megan Alexander is a Scottish Artist and Illustrator with a background in textile and interior design. Studying at Grays School of Art she subsequently worked in interior design, teaching and more recently as a freelance artist.
Working mainly with ink and watercolours allows Megan to capture fabric texture, as well as movement and create characterful and emotive illustrations. These mediums allow an opportunity to be more fluid and instinctive in her process, resulting in unexpected and intriguing artworks.
The human form and faces in fashion, alongside interesting textures and fabrics are Megan's constant sources of inspiration.
In 2021, Megan had several pieces exhibited at the FIDA x Miami Summer Arts Exhibition. Megan has had her work featured in the summer edition of Goldfoil magazine and during August 2021, she was featured as Artist of the month on the ArtULTRA platform.
