Created for Megan's Final Year Project (FYP) in Singapore Polytechnic, this game features a simulation of the life of a person with schizophrenia. This work will be exhibited at SP Design School's 2017 Graduation Show. At the site, the visitor may enter a booth to play this game. The player may customise the character's name, gender, occupation and game difficulty. As opposed to having the player play as a fixed character, Megan designed it for the player to enter their own name so that they may imagine themselves as someone who has schizophrenia, so that they may empathise with such people better.
The game is seperated into three parts of the day. Gameplay heavily relies on random events - 2 different events can happen at each part of the day. At the end of the game, a message urging players to show compassion to people with schizophrenia appears, and the player can choose to replay with the same information they entered, or to end the game. Choosing the later brings players to a screen with names of mental health organisations in Singapore before returning to the title screen.
The game may be played here. Please play it in full screen for the full experience.
